Jamie Stone has been Liberal Democrat MP for Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross since 2017. He has had a long career in Scottish politics first being elected to Ross and Cromarty District Council in 1986 and later serving on the Highland Council. In 1999 he was elected to the new Scottish parliament as MSP for Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross, speaking for the party on Housing and Health and serving until he stood down in 2011. Since his election to the Westminster parliament, Stone has served as Lib Dem Spokesperson for Scotland and Defence currently speaks for the party on Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.
