Susan Kramer has had a varied career, including a stint as Vice President of Citibank in Chicago, fighting the first London Mayoral election in 2000 for the Liberal Democrats and contributed a chapter on environmental policy to the 2004 Orange Book. In 2003 she was selected to succeed Jenny Tong who had decided to stand down as MP for Richmond Park and Kramer successfully defended the seat for the Liberal Democrats at the election of 2005. She lost at the following election to Tory Zac Goldsmith. In Parliament Kramer spoke for the party on Trade & industry and transport and from 2013-15 served as Minister of State for Transport in the coalition government. Susan Kramer now sits in the House of Lords as Baroness Kramer and served as the party’s Treasury Spokesperson from 2017 to June 2019.
